01  GAME DESCRIPTION

────────────────────────────────────────────────────

BLIND FREQUENCY is a 3rd person horror-adventure game where you play as a blind cat navigating its world entirely through echolocation. The world is in near-total darkness at all times, and the only way to see is to meow. Every meow fires a sound sphere that bounces off surfaces and returns as a glowing trail, briefly illuminating the environment. You run along that trail before it fades back into darkness.

The game is set across a single day, from dawn to dusk, as the cat moves through its morning routine, ventures outside, and fights to return home before something in the dark finds it. Horror is never violent. It is perceptual, sensory, and atmospheric. The terror comes from the darkness, from echoes returning wrong, and from a growing silence that swallows sound entirely.

02  GAME OBJECTIVE

────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Survive the full day as a blind cat by managing survival meters, Happiness, across four levels while navigating purely by sound. Reach the cat flap at the end of each level. Return home safely by the end of Level 4.

03  CORE MECHANIC: THE MEOW ECHO

────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Press R to meow. A sound sphere fires outward, bounces off up to four surfaces, and returns to the player as a glowing physical trail. The trail fades after 3 to 4 seconds. This is the only way to see the world.

  • Shot a meow fires ranges echo by pressing R.
  • Echoes that bounce off multiple surfaces create longer, more complex trail maps.
  • Collect happiness collectible to pass the level.
  • Extra light function by collecting recharge collectible. Press E to use the function.
